Simulation


Physical processes in organic materials are fundamentally different from those in metals and inorganic semiconductors. Charge carriers are localized on single organic molecules and move between them via a thermally activated tunneling process (sometimes also called “hopping transport”). We perform material characterization and simulations to get insight into the electronic processes such as injection, transport and recombination determining the performance of complex state-of-the-art OLED structures.
